Warranty

AstorRay products are manufactured under the highest standards of quality and workmanship. We stand behind the craftsmanship of our lighting fixtures and are committed to your satisfaction. This Limited Warranty Policy governs the warranty terms for all AstorRay products.

1. Warranty Coverage & Duration

All AstorRay lighting fixtures, without exception, are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date the product was shipped to the original end-use purchaser.

2. Eligibility

All warranties apply only to the original end-use purchaser and the original installation of the Products purchased directly from AstorRay or an authorized AstorRay distributor. This warranty is strictly non-transferable.

3. Remedies

If a defect covered by this warranty arises during the applicable two-year warranty period, AstorRay will, at its sole election, repair, replace, or make appropriate adjustments where AstorRay’s inspection discloses any such defects occurring in normal usage.

If identical materials or products are not available, AstorRay reserves the right to substitute materials or products of comparable quality and of equal or greater value. This remedy is the sole and exclusive remedy under this warranty.

4. Exclusions

The following costs, expenses, and damages are not covered by the provisions of this limited warranty:

Labor Costs: Any labor costs including, but not limited to, the removal and reinstallation of the Product.
Shipping Costs: Shipping and freight expenses required to return the Product to AstorRay for inspection. (AstorRay will, however, cover the cost of outbound return shipping to the customer on valid, approved warranty claims).
Third-Party Components: Light bulbs.
Cosmetic Wear & Tear: Scratches, abrasions, or deterioration due to the use of paints, solvents, chemicals, or abrasive cleaning techniques.
Improper Use: Loss of functionality or damage resulting from the product being used for purposes for which it is not designed or intended.
Coastal Environments: The environment within ten (10) miles of a sea coast can be extremely corrosive. Even with appropriate maintenance, products installed in this environment will typically deteriorate more than products installed in less severe environments. Some corrosion and/or deterioration is considered "normal wear" in coastal settings. Thus, any claim for finish failures or corrosion of other components due to coastal environmental conditions is expressly excluded from this warranty.

5. Conditions That Void the Warranty

The provisions of this warranty do not apply, and the warranty will be deemed void, if:

The original bill of sale, delivery date, or product number cannot be verified.
The parts claimed to be defective are not returned for inspection if requested by AstorRay.
The product is no longer in the possession of the original end-use purchaser.
The product has been subjected to alteration, modification (including purchaser-applied finishes), abuse, misuse, negligence, or accident.
The product has been improperly stored, installed, maintained, or operated.
The product has been used in violation of written instructions provided by AstorRay.
The product has been subjected to improper temperature, humidity, or other environmental conditions beyond the product’s specifications.
Based on AstorRay’s examination, the product does not disclose non-conformance to the warranty to AstorRay's satisfaction.

6. Finish Care & Cleaning Guidelines

To preserve the finish of your AstorRay fixture, initial and ongoing care requires only periodic cleaning with a soft, microfiber cloth dampened with water.

If the fixture is heavily soiled, a mild, non-abrasive soap may be used along with a soft cloth and water.
Use a damp, not wet, microfiber cloth to clean fabric or delicate shades.
WARNING: Particular care should be taken to completely avoid abrasive materials and strong cleaning agents. These will rapidly destroy the protective coatings and subject the finish to rapid oxidation, discoloration, and deterioration, which will void your warranty.

7. How to Obtain Warranty Service

You will be required to provide your original proof of purchase (order number or receipt), the product item number, and photographs and/or a detailed description of the defect. AstorRay may require that the product be returned to our facility for physical inspection before a claim can be approved.

8. Legal Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

ASTORRAY DOES NOT AUTHORIZE ANY PERSON TO CREATE FOR IT ANY OBLIGATION OR LIABILITY IN CONNECTION WITH ITS PRODUCTS. ASTORRAY'S MAXIMUM LIABILITY HEREUNDER IS STRICTLY LIMITED TO THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT. NO ACTION ARISING OUT OF ANY CLAIMED BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY BY ASTORRAY MAY BE BROUGHT BY THE ORIGINAL USER MORE THAN ONE (1) YEAR AFTER THE CAUSE OF ACTION HAS ARISEN.

IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THAT OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE EXPRESSLY LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE TWO (2) YEAR DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS WARRANTY, EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

ASTORRAY DISCLAIMS ANY LIABILITY FOR SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, WHETHER SUCH CLAIM IS BASED IN CONTRACT OR TORT, NEGLIGENCE, OR OTHER LEGAL OR EQUITABLE THEORY, EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

State Law Rights: This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not fully apply to you. Refer to your local laws for your specific rights under this warranty.
